How the handoff works
- You send the requestProperty address, what you need done, and anything the contractor should know about access or timing.
- Ryan reads it himselfIf he has a good contact for that work, he passes your details along. If he doesn’t have one yet, he tells you straight rather than guessing.
- They contact you directlyYou deal with the contractor, agree on the price and hire them yourself. RLC takes no fee and holds no part of the job.
Questions before you ask
Does a referral cost anything?
No. There is no fee to you and RLC does not take a cut from the contractor. It exists so people who call us for work we don’t do still end up in good hands.
Will RLC manage the other contractor’s work?
No. The contract, the schedule and the payment are between you and them. If the work sits next to a landscape project RLC is doing, we’ll coordinate timing so the two don’t collide — but we don’t supervise their crew or warranty their work.
What if you don’t have someone for my job?
We’ll say so. The list is limited to trades where we know someone licensed, insured and worth sending you to. We would rather tell you we’re short a contact than hand you a name we don’t stand behind.
Can you refer someone and do the landscaping too?
Yes, and it’s common. Tree removal and stump grinding usually happen before planting, sod or lighting. Mention the landscape work in your request and we’ll sequence the two in the right order.
